It has been stated that the Red Devils are showing interest in bringing the Dutch talent to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
Smit’s Impressive Rise In The Dutch Eredivisie The 20-year-old is having a decent campaign at the Dutch club as he has put in a string of eye-catching displays for them at the centre of the park. Smit has found the back of the net four times and earned six assists in 38 matches for AZ Alkmaar this season across various competitions. The Dutch talent is currently one of the most promising young midfielders in the Eredivisie.
Therefore, Man United would do well to get him on board at the end of this campaign. His current contract at the Dutch club will run out in the summer of 2028, so the Red Devils would have to launch a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Smit later this year.
