It feels, though, like they are meant to matter for Royce Lewis. There have been too many mishaps in Lewis' once-promising career with the Minnesota Twins to not at least put some stock in what he's up to currently. And right now, Lewis is having an atrocious spring.
Lewis has 34 plate appearances. He has three hits. Two of them have been home runs, so that's good, along with a single.
He has also struck out nine times and walked just twice. So maybe you'd just call it a cold spell, but it's also just one more strike against Lewis in a career full of more strikes than successes.
