According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz , the former Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach is being hired by Lane Kiffin as an offensive analyst for the LSU Tigers . This is an underrated move for Kiffin, who is reunited with the former Vols QB in Baton Rouge. The two have crossed paths before at USC.
Martin was Kiffin's assistant during a seven-year stint from 2012-18. From there, Martin was held over after Kiffin was fired in Los Angeles. What makes this a significant addition is Martin's background.
He spent the last three seasons working with the Baltimore Ravens as a QB coach for Lamar Jackson. New head coach Jesse Minter chose not to retain him during the transition. As an analyst, Martin will add another offensive mind and help guide Sam Leavitt's progression toward the NFL after this season.
