Rams rank near bottom of NFL in 2026 draft capital

After trading away three picks in this year's draft, the Rams rank near the bottom of the NFL in terms of draft capital.

A penchant for trading away first-round picks hasnโ€™t prevented the Los Angeles Rams from stocking up on rookies and young players. In fact, they often have some of the largest draft classes in the NFL each year, topping out at 14 players in 2023 โ€“ one shy of an all-time record. This offseason alone, theyโ€™ve traded away three picks in the 2026 draft and one in 2027, using those selections to acquire Trent McDuffie.

As a result, they went from having a ton of draft capital to having, well, not as much. Warren Sharp tried to quantify how much draft capital each team has this year by using a formula that combines average performance delivered and average dollars earned on a playerโ€™s second contract. The result puts the Rams 25th in total draft capital this year with a Sharp Draft Value score of 47.
