The Cleveland Browns must consider trading for this speedy playmaker after the Denver Broncos' recent deal for Jaylen Waddle

After a free agency period frenzy for the Cleveland Browns , general manager Andrew Berry has done a terrific job addressing some key positions throughout the offseason. Earlier this month, Berry struck a deal with the Houston Texans that includes veteran tackle Tytus Howard in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick. In addition to landing a proven right tackle, the front office also made a couple of massive signings on the offensive line to join Howard next season in Zion Johnson and Elgton Jenkins.

Now, with the 2026 NFL Draft right around the corner, the Browns are in a perfect spot to continue their efforts of rebuilding the entire offense under newly-hired head coach Todd Monken . One area that has yet to be addressed, however, is the wide receiver position, as former Denver Broncos ’ 2020 first-round pick Jerry Jeudy remains the top target heading into 2026. Luckily for Berry and company, there is a possibility that the struggling franchise could complete another trade with the Broncos for a wide receiver after the organization’s recent acquisition of Jaylen Waddle.

The deal leaves the door open for Cleveland to target the team’s dynamic playmaker, Marvin Mims, ahead of the upcoming draft. Broncos are trading for Miami WR Jaylen Waddle, per source. Denver receives: Waddle and Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th in round) in this year’s draft.

As a rookie, the former Oklahoma Sooners standout recorded just 377 receiving yards and one touchdown on 22 receptions, with a majority of his work coming on special teams. His role on offense would eventually be elevated in his second year, as Mims finished the season with 503 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 39 catches.
