Bucs use the SEC to upgrade their roster in CBS Sports mock draft
The SEC is loaded with talent and that is why the Bucs are attached to so many players from the conference.
The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh next April, a city that could be where the Bucs select the next star they add to their roster in hopes of righting the proverbial ship. Before next April, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft. Thankfully, we now have some added context for players now that the scouting combine has come and gone.
CBS Sports' Josh Edwards recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team focusing on defense once again. He has the Bucs getting edge rusher help courtesy of Auburn's Keldric Faulk. The young pass rusher is someone who has a unique blend of pass rush ability and run-stuffing power.
Edwards explains the Faulk pick, writing, "Keldric Faulk is young but not productive, a description that has fit Travon Walker, Shemar Stewart, etc. Those players tend to be quality edge-setters at the very least, and the hope is they can expand their pass-rush profile. Tampa Bay needs help rushing the passer after getting shut out in free agency, and Faulk has the length the team covets.
" The mock draft was three rounds; however, Edwards also drafted Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. The quarterback selection is very interesting and isn't expanded upon, but could it make sense for them to have some security at the position?
