NASCAR has indefinitely suspended Kaulig Racing driver Daniel Dye following insensitive comments made about NTT IndyCar Series driver David Malukas on a livestream, the sport announced on Tuesday . Dye's comments regarding Malukas were deemed unacceptable by NASCAR officials and Kaulig Racing, which suspended him effective immediately. Dye violated Section 4.

C in the NASCAR Rule Book, stating โNASCAR Members shall not make โฆ a public statement or communication that criticizes, ridicules, or otherwise disparages another person based upon that personโs race, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, or handicapping condition. โ The 22-year-old driver must complete sensitivity training before he returns to NASCAR.
Dye currently sits 13th in the point standings through three races of the 2026 NASCAR season, and will more than likely miss the Chase. It is unclear how long Dye will be suspended, but NASCAR took swift action on Tuesday.
