m. The Lady Jackets got off to a hot start against the Lady Jaguars by scoring five runs in the first two innings. But Cleburne's knockout punch came after Summit scored its only two runs in the top of the fourth, responding with an 11-run frame.
The double-digit run parade commenced when Brooklyn Bailey hit a double to lead off the inning and scored on an RBI single from Huber. A pair of walks to Jaycie Jones and Quzma loaded the bases for Carlee Kent, who split the infield for a 2-run single. Up 8-2, Payton Slovak kept it going with an RBI single of her own.
Cleburne's lead extended to eight when Eden Treesh brought home Kent on a fielder's choice. Back-to-back walks to Dayana Mitchell and Dani Guerrero loaded the bases once again, setting up a pair of RBI singles from Gabriela Garcia and Huber. After a fielder's choice for the second out of the inning, Quzma capped off Cleburne's huge scoring frenzy by hitting the first over-the-fence home run of her career to drive in two more for the Lady Jackets.
No runs were scored by the Lady Jaguars in the fifth inning, which enforced the UIL run rule. Quzma went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and five batted in. Huber went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs scored and four RBI.
