Vanderbilt basketball's Mikayla Blakes named AP first-team All-American after leading nation in scoring with 27 points per game
Vanderbilt women's basketball sophomore guard Mikayla Blakes picked up more hardware March 14 when she was named an Associated Press first-team All-American. She is the first Commodores player to earn that honor in 23 years. Ashley McElhiney was the last Vanderbilt women's player named to the team.
This is Blakes' fifth first-team All-America selection this season. She also was designated as such by the U. S.
