After landing Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, the Rams are essentially a complete roster before the NFL Draft. However, there is one major issue that the team needs to resolve this offseason: Stafford's backup. ESPN's Bill Barnwell identified backup QB as the biggest issue that needs fixing, and linked the Rams to two options who could fill such a role.
While both are familiar faces, they're both interesting backup options worth considering in Los Angeles. Rams linked to 2 QBs to back up Matthew Stafford "The solution: Re-sign Jimmy Garoppolo (unless... )," Barnwell writes.
"Signing Garaploo would make sense. Carson Wentz also knows the operation, having spent time with the Rams in 2023, but Garoppolo has been a better quarterback for much of his career. " The Rams need to address their backup quarterback spot, as Stetson Bennett IV is not a reliable backup option.
