Ravens scout targets Penn State’s top-rated offensive tackle as key to 2023 NFL draft!
Ravens OL coach Dwayne Ledford was in attendance at Penn State’s Pro Day, scouting top prospect Vega Ioane, a powerful guard who has been consistently linked to Baltimore pre-draft.
The Ravens finished 8-9 last season, and a major factor in their downfall was the lack of efficient play at the offensive guard positions. While there are holes at key positions, landing a center and two offensive guards could be on the menu after a dismal performance in 2025 from the interior positions. Daniel Faalele is a free agent and should depart, while Andrew Vorhees is a candidate for demotion.
In 969 snaps, Vorhees allowed three sacks, and his 54. 6 grade from PFF was 60th out of 81 offensive guards. Rookie Emery Jones Jr.
spent most of the season rehabbing a shoulder injury, but he only had a 50+ PFF grade in the three games he was active. That leaves the NFL draft, where Baltimore has the 14th pick, and could look towards a Penn State All-American offensive guard. According to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec, Ravens offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford was in attendance at the Nittany Lions Pro Day, scouting top prospect Vega Ioane, a powerful guard who has been consistently linked to Baltimore pre-draft.
Penn State is having its Pro Day today and per my colleague @AkronJackson , Ravens OL coach Dwayne Ledford is amongst those in the house. Penn State’s top prospect is G Vega Ioane who has been connected to Ravens throughout pre-draft process. — Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) March 18, 2026 Ioane was a steady force at the guard spot for the Nittany Lions, allowing only two pressures and zero sacks last season.
