New Headline: Trojan Triumphs, Claims Elite 2023 Championship in Dominant Style with Superb Tackling Abilities
Three times in the last four years, USC women’s basketball has brought in the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class. Stars like JuJu Watkins and Jazzy Davidson have headlined USC’s prior recruiting classes, and now the Trojans have three, five-star recruits coming to LA next season.
USC landed the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2026 in five-star guard Saniyah Hall. And with the most recent commitment of five-star forward Sara Okeke along with five-star forward Satiya Fagan, the Trojans have the top two international recruits in the class of 2026.
Okeke told ESPN on Tuesday that she is officially committed to USC. She chose USC over other programs like Kentucky, Indiana and Texas. “I chose USC because as soon as I stepped on the campus I felt at home,” Okeke told ESPN .
“The coaching staff and the players are exactly what I am looking for, and I know they’ll push me to grow, on and off the court. I cannot wait to be a part [of] and impact this special program. ” Who is Okeke?
Okeke, who is originally from Spain, is 6-foot-4 and is playing her final high school season at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. She is averaging 17 points and seven rebounds with DME Academy and will likely make the Chipotle Nationals with the team in April. Okeke was named the 2025 FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket Most Valuable Player in July.
