Former Spartan Star Ramps It Up In决胜点,改变比赛走向!

Yahoo Sports

The NCAA Tournament can bring you pure joy and terrible agony -- for one former Spartan, it was the latter on Tuesday night. Former Michigan State guard Tre Holloman's college career came to an end on Tuesday night as his NC State Wolfpack fell in a First Four NCAA Tournament matchup against Texas. The Longhorns were able to knockoff the Wolfpack on a last second fadeaway jumper to break a tie.

With Holloman defending, Texas' Tramon Mark nailed a fadeaway jumper from just inside the three-point line to give the Longhorns a 68-66 lead with about one second left in the game. That would end up being the final points to push Texas to the first round on Thursday, and send home Holloman and the Wolfpack. But as you should know by now, he elected to hit the transfer portal and landed at NC State for his final year of college eligibility. Holloman was a regular starter for the Wolfpack this season, averaging just under 10 points and 2 assists per game. He finished Tuesday night's loss against Texas with 8 points and 4 assists.

Holloman was one of three former Spartans that transferred away from Michigan State last year that are in the NCAA Tournament. Xavier Booker of UCLA and Gehrig Normand of Santa Clara will be starting their NCAA Tournament runs on Friday.
