New Headline: Guernsey Ladies Show Off Skills as They Challenge Romania for European Title

The games will be Ilze Van Der Westhuizen's first in charge of the island side in a tournament [Guernsey Cricket] Guernsey will play in the Women's Continental Cricket Cup in Romania in August. The tournament will be the first international games for the island side since 2024. They will take on the hosts, as well as Norway, Czech Republic and Malta in T20 matches.

Guernsey played just one game last year when they lost heavily to Channel Island rivals Jersey - they last played overseas in 2024 when they competed in the Nordic Cup in Norway. "The launch of the Women's Super League last year was a significant milestone for Guernsey Cricket," said head coach Ilze Van Der Westhuizen. "It has created depth, competitiveness, and consistency within the women's game locally.

"We now have a strong domestic platform from which to select our national squad, and this tournament presents an exciting opportunity to test ourselves internationally. "
