Wisconsin's Nick Boyd Pulls Off an Exciting Comeback!

Yahoo Sports

For whatever reason, Wisconsin Badgers senior guard Nick Boyd hasn't seen his name attached to many postseason awards. The Associated Press revealed its All-American teams on March 17; a list that didn't feature any Wisconsin players. To no surprise, Duke's Cameron Boozer, BYU's AJ Dybantsa, and Michigan's Yaxel Lendebord made the first team.

The AP named five players to the first-team, second-team, and third-team, then included a list of honorable mentions as well. Fellow Big Ten guard, Iowa's Bennett Stirtz, was named an honorable mention, but Boyd was nowhere to be found. Boyd leads the Badgers, averaging a monstrous 20.

6 points per game. He's shooting 47. 9% overall from the field and has made 36.

4% of his three-pointers this season. Without Boyd, Wisconsin never would've made it past Illinois in the Big Ten quarterfinals. His 38-point mark set a new program record , one that fellow guard John Blackwell had just set the night prior.

Neither guard was recognized by the AP, though both were on the Big Ten all-tournament team .
