New Brescia Head Coach: Super Bowl Champion Joins Team As Dominant Leader!
Brescia University has appointed Keith Cottoner as its first vice president of athletic affairs, marking a significant step in the university’s long-term strategic vision for athletic growth. In this newly established cabinet-level role, Cottoner will oversee all aspects of Brescia’s athletic operations, including athletic personnel, program development, budgeting, facilities and operational planning, and student-athlete support. The position reflects Brescia’s commitment to strengthening its competitive presence while advancing its mission-centered approach to student success.
Brescia University President Madison Silvert described Cottoner as a dynamic leader who will help shape the future of Brescia Athletics. “His vision, energy and proven record of building strong, values-centered programs make him the right leader at the right moment,” Silvert said. “Brescia University is experiencing tremendous momentum, and Keith will help accelerate that growth.
” Cottoner brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across athletics, nonprofit management and community partnership development. Most recently, he served as CEO of the Hopkins County Family YMCA, where he led the $3 million nonprofit, expanded services and launched high-impact programs that strengthened community wellness and youth development. He has overseen major capital projects, including a $2 million aquatics center renovation, and developed new competitive athletic initiatives such as the Hopkins County Hurricanes Swim Team.
Prior to leading the Hopkins County YMCA, Cottoner led the H. L. Neblett Community Center in Owensboro.
