The loss to promotion-chasing Salford on Tuesday, combined with Harrogate Town's 3-0 win at Tranmere Rovers, meant Foley's side dropped to the bottom of League Two. A tight relegation scrap, however, means Barrow are still only two points from safety with nine games remaining.

"There's been a change in the lads in the past few weeks but for me to see how they apply themselves, Saturday and today, it makes me proud," Foley told BBC Radio Cumbria. "But at the end of the day you're going to need to turn those proud feelings into points. "They're disappointed - they should be and you always are no matter where you are in the league, if you lose a game you're going to be disappointed so you need to use that disappointment, put it on its head and try and produce a game where you're going to win.

" Salford City 3-1 Barrow Tuesday's game against Salford began an unenviable run-in during which Barrow will face six of the top eight sides. Foley, who took over on an interim basis after the sacking of Dino Maamria earlier in March, is not looking too far ahead, however. "The next game is the next game, regardless of who it is," he continued.

"The situation we're in, we're not going to look too deeply into the opposition - we need to look at ourselves. "I've looked at the run-in briefly but I've not looked at it in detail. We just need to play on Saturday, whoever it is we're up against, and produce a performance.
