Daniel Suarez says he has "lost a lot of respect" for Ross Chastain "as a person" following his comments at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2026.
Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain didn't see eye to eye after the NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The two drivers were involved in a physical altercation on pit road after Las Vegas, with words and pushes being exchanged. Chastain was not happy with Suarez, and the feeling was vice versa.
Following the event, Suarez posted his weekly YouTube video and addresses the altercation with Chastain. The Spire Motorsports driver didn't hold back on his former Trackhouse Racing teammate. "What happens on the race track happens on the race track," said Suarez.
"That's racing, right? Everyone is going to get into it with another driver once in a while... that's part of it.
What I was actually pretty upset and disappointed is what happened afterwards. I have known [Ross Chastain] for a long time, and I have always known that him and I were very different. We're very different kind of people.
