The Vikings found their replacement for Ryan Wright in free agency.

With Will Reichard being back due to him still being on his rookie deal, and Andrew DePaola getting locked up with another contract, the only thing left to complete special teams is a punter. Good news for them is that interim general manager Rob Brzezinski has found his final piece to special teams. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday night that the Minnesota Vikings had agreed to terms with punter Johnny Hekker on a one-year deal.

At the time of the news, there were no financial terms disclosed. The Vikings lost their previous punter, Ryan Wright, in free agency to the New Orleans Saints. Hekker comes over from the Tennessee Titans, with whom he played in 2025.

Before that, he played for the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams, winning a Super Bowl with the latter. Apart from being a Super Bowl champion, Hekker is also a four-time Pro Bowler. This article originally appeared on Vikings Wire: NFL Free Agency: Vikings sign Super Bowl Champion punter
