Adam Zagoria confirmed that report, each citing an anonymous source.

Syracuse had just shy of a reported $8 million to put together a roster in 2025-26. That includes both revenue share from the athletic department and third-party NIL. That $8 million number was believed to be middle of the pack in the ACC for spending for a basketball roster.
Syracuse finished the year 15-17 and parted ways with Adrian Autry after three seasons. Hodgson, in his third year as a head coach, has a career record of 70-36. His South Florida Bulls will play Louisville in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday.
