Star Alabama guard Labaron Philon Jr. has officially been named All-America by a multitude of media outlets. Philon has been electrifying on the offensive end of the floor this year, as the star guard has played a critical role in Alabama’s overall success throughout the regular season.
Philon has been named third-team AP All-America , while also being named to the All-America third team recently by The Sporting News . Philon has received a multitude of accolades following a historic sophomore campaign in Tuscaloosa, as the talented playmaker is expected to be a top pick in this year's NBA draft following his efforts in the Tide’s backcourt this year. Philon averaged a team high 21.
7 points and 4. 7 assists per game during his second season in Tuscaloosa. The sharpshooting sophomore will undoubtedly be Alabama’s go-to option on offense throughout the NCAA Tournament, as Philon has proven to come through for the Tide on numerous occasions in 2026.
Alabama will face Hofstra on Friday afternoon in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, as Philon has officially been named an All-America selection for his efforts throughout the regular season.
