Proven Brown Star Makes Impactful Final Exit from NFL, Cheers Awaited Farewell
The Cleveland Browns continue to restructure their offensive line, letting longtime guard Wyatt Teller sign with the Houston Texans.
Itโs been reported that the Houston Texans will be signing former Cleveland Browns offensive guard Wyatt Teller, officially putting an end to his career in Brown and Orange. Itโs a two-year deal worth a maximum value of $23M for the 31-year-old veteran, first reported by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Teller has spent seven of his eight NFL seasons with the Cleveland Browns , starting 94 games at right guard for the team.
He also earned two second-team All-Pro honors and three Pro Bowl selections during his time in Cleveland, making him a fan favorite along with his fun personality. Unfortunately for Teller, inconsistency and durability were issues during his time with the Browns. This past year, he recorded a 62.
2 overall PFF grade for the 2025 season, which was his lowest-graded performance since 2019. It was obvious the Browns werenโt going to re-sign Teller based on their latest player acquisitions. The team recently signed former Los Angeles Chargers guard Zion Johnson to a three-year, $49.
5M contract and agreed to re-sign backup guard Teven Jenkins. The team also made other acquisitions on the offensive line that show they are clearly trying to rebuild rather than retain. Weโll see how Teller performs with the Texans and wish him all the best after a great Cleveland Browns career.
