New Headline: "NFL Hot Streak Heating Up Amidst Controversial Free Agency Kickoff!

Yahoo Sports

There was a little bit of a run on wide receivers to start this week, but several strong options remain and Raiders should be trying to sign one.

Week two of NFL free agency opened with wide receivers flying around the league. The week began with Texans WR Christian Kirk signing with the 49ers. Then former Chiefs WR Maquise 'Hollywood' Brown signed with the Eagles and former Titans receiver Van Jefferson signing on with the Commanders.

The biggest news, however, was in a trade with the Broncos making a big splash, acquiring Jaylen Waddle from the Dolphins in a trade that sent the Broncos pick at 30 overall in the first round to Miami. Not many wide receivers switched teams early in free agency. The only names of note were Mike Evans signing on with the 49ers and Romeo Doubs heading to the Patriots.

The Raiders dipped their toe in the market as well, signing former Vikings WR Jalen Nailor. But they need more help than that and with the likes of Waddle entering the division, they should be making a push to sign more talent before all is said and done. The market still has a great deal of talented receivers, including several former Pro Bowlers.
