Wide Receiver Outshines Eagles: Oklahoma Pro Eases Playoff Hopes
Former Oklahoma WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown signs with Philly.
Former Oklahoma Sooners star wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown has found a new home in the NFL, as he prepares for his eighth year as a pro. Brown has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, the franchise announced on Tuesday. It's a one-year deal for Brown in Philly, and he'll team up with other former Sooner standouts in QB Jalen Hurts and OL Lane Johnson.
Brown was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons there before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals. He spent two seasons in the desert playing alongside another former star OU quarterback, Kyler Murray, before he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he has spent the last two seasons.
In 2025, Brown caught 49 passes for 587 yards and five touchdowns. Brown spent two seasons at Oklahoma, earning the nickname "Hollywood" for being from Hollywood, Florida, but also for his speed and his flashy play on the field. He was a weapon for OU in 2017 and 2018, catching 132 passes for 2,413 yards and 17 touchdowns.
His best season came alongside Murray in '18, when he improved in each of those individual stat categories from the previous year. Now, Brown will head to Philly, where he'll look to be a deep threat for the Eagles' offense in 2026. 7ā£7⣠Days Until āļøšš.
