The Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase features 84 local high school baseball and softball teams in 49 games between March 27 and May 16.

The Cincinnati Reds unveiled their 2026 schedule for the Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase March 17 at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy in Roselawn. This event will feature 84 high school baseball and softball teams from the Greater Cincinnati area and Dayton competing in 49 games between March 27 and May 16. A new part of the event is the “River Cup” series, which will be on the new turf field at Sycamore High School March 27-29.

The series will feature five games pairing top Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky teams, with the winning state earning the traveling River Cup trophy. Sycamore head coach Pete Muehlenkamp said it has been something he and event manager Tom Gamble of In-Game Sports have been planning for a while. “It took a lot of planning and a lot of effort on his part, and his company’s part, and they deserve a lot of credit for it getting us across the finish line,” Muehlenkamp said.

“Very happy about it. I hope this becomes something like the World Baseball Classic, where they're just going nuts playing for their country, and I hope that our different teams go nuts to play for their state against the other state. An early marquee game will be April 4 when six-state champion Moeller faces 2024 state champ Mason at the University of Cincinnati’s stadium.

The annual Jackie Robinson Day takes center stage on April 11 at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy to showcase eight teams from Cincinnati Public Schools playing three baseball games and two softball games. The Showcase includes three days of softball, highlighted by three games at Lebanon on April 25 featuring a rematch of last spring’s Division I title game between champion Lebanon and runner-up Centerville, as well as Ohio Division IV state champion Kenton Ridge. There will be several games at UC, Xavier, Miami and Wright State as well as the Midland complex in Batavia.
