Myktybek Orolbai set the UFC's welterweight record for takedowns in a fight with a dominant performance against Chris Curtis.
LAS VEGAS – Myktybek Orolbai met the media Saturday after his win over Chris Curtis at UFC Fight Night 269. Orolbai (16-2-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) put on an utterly dominant performance against Curtis (32-13 MMA, 6-5 UFC) for a unanimous decision to close out the prelims at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Orolbai was credited with a record-breaking 19 takedowns, setting a new mark at welterweight for the UFC.
He said that part of his game is a breeze. "This is no problem," Orolbai told MMA Junkie at his post-fight news conference. "I'm a humble fighter, but cage closes, I'm dangerous.
This is no problem. Next fight, more takedowns, God willing. This is not hard.
