Newcomer Tieander Olson, who missed 99 percent of the basketball season, showed out in her first softball game with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first and an RBI double in the second. Brytin Dollarhyde also went deep and drove in three runs plus Charlie Myers left the yard.
Myers, Avery LaFontaine and Teagan Baggenstos combined to allow just four hits and struck out six batters for Adna (1-0). Black Hills (0-2) chipped away at the deficit on a two-run home run from Hannah O'Shurak, but it never got within three runs the rest of the way. Madddie Knight and Makenna Oderman each had a double and a run scored.
