New Headline: Julio Jones Makes History Joining Falcons for Super Bowl LVI!
Falcons officially sign slot WR Olamide Zaccheaus in NFL free agency
The Atlanta Falcons signed wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus to their roster on Tuesday morning. The 28-year-old originally signed with Atlanta as an undrafted free agent in 2019, playing three seasons with former Falcons quarterback and current president of football Matt Ryan. In 2022, Zaccheaus posted a career-high 533 receiving yards before leaving in free agency.
Zaccheaus topped 500 receiving yards again with the Washington Commanders in 2024. Last season, he had 39 catches for 313 yards and two scores for the Chicago Bears. The Falcons were desperate to add depth to their wide receiver group behind Drake London, and Zaccheaus is capable of providing it.
Plus, the veteran receiver's kick/punt return ability is an added bonus for Atlanta. Zaccheaus' first NFL catch was a 93-yard touchdown from Ryan back in 2019. Watch below, as shared by the team's social media account.
