Jon Scheyer and Manny Diaz's double victory secures ACC supremacy against Georgia!
After winning ACC Titles in both men's basketball and football, Jon Scheyer and Manny Diaz have earned recognition for their success at Duke.
The Duke Blue Devils have dominated Division I athletics recently , and others are beginning to take notice. On Monday, Brad Crawford of CBS Sports put out a list ranking the best college coaching duos between Division I basketball and football. Coming in at No.
1 on Crawford's list were none other than Jon Scheyer and Manny Diaz of Duke . Scheyer has led Duke to an incredible 32-2 record this season, defeating 12 top-25 teams in the process. As a result, they've won the ACC Championship and earned the No.
1 overall seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. Although Diaz hasn't quite gained the national notoriety that Scheyer has, the Blue Devils have still enjoyed plenty of success on the football field. Since taking over prior to the 2024 season, Diaz has led Duke to two consecutive nine-win seasons.
He also led the program to their first outright conference title in football since 1962, defeating the Virginia Cavaliers for the ACC Championship in December. Diaz and the Blue Devils followed up that performance with a Sun Bowl victory against Arizona State, where Darian Mensah threw for four touchdowns. As the ACC continues to get tougher year after year, one thing is for certain: Scheyer and Diaz continue to put their programs in position to take home hardware at the end of the season.
