A Miami Dolphins cornerback double his earnings in 2025 from the Performance-Based Pay Program 2025 by playing a lot and playing well.

Each year, the NFL gives out money to players who outperformed their contracts in their Performance-Based Pay Program , and this year players will receive more than $542 million. Of all of the players who will receive a pay bump, only one Miami Dolphin made the top 25, as cornerback Jack Jones got the 15th-most, receiving an extra $1. 1 million.

Jones, 28, signed a one-year, $1. 1 million deal with the Dolphins last offseason after a year and a half with the New England Patriots and the same length with the Las Vegas Raiders. In 17 games in 2025, Jones recorded a career-high 77 tackles (four for a loss), six passes defensed, two forced fumbles and an interception.

That performance while playing 92% of the team's defensive snaps essentially doubled his contract. Heading into 2026, Jones is an unrestricted free agent, free to sign with any team, and he's likely set himself up for an even bigger pay day this offseason.
