Punching Back: Teen Dominates, Leads Team to 96-71 Victory

The Giants will welcome Cam Skattebo back from a serious injury.

With the bulk of free agency complete — and the NFL Draft still ahead — the Giants have a good idea of how John Harbaugh ’s first roster will look. So let’s break it down, position by position, with the obvious caveat that things will change between now and Week 1. We’ve already covered quarterback .

Next up — running back. • Top players: Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy • Backups: Devin Singletary, Eric Gray, Dante Miller • Offseason departures: Nobody, as John Harbaugh opted to retain Singletary for the final year of his contract while strong-arming him into a pay cut that slashed his salary and freed up $3. 7 million in cap space.

• Added in free agency: Nobody, since the price on Kenneth Walker got too high, and he headed to the Chiefs. But clearly, Harbaugh was (and surely still is) interested in adding more at running back, despite Skattebo’s strong (but injury-shortened) rookie year in 2025. • Potential draft targets: The big one to watch is Jeremiyah Love.

Will he be available for the Giants at No. 5? If he is, and if Harbaugh takes him, that would shake up the running back room — and could result in Singletary getting bumped down the depth chart and eventually cut.
