Vikings' Signal Calls Spell Fantasy Triumph

Yahoo Sports

The Vikings offseason is summed up into one word by one analyst.

The Vikings' free agency has been a mixed bag of promising, cheap signings, but also some key losses. The team is without a full-blown general manager, but in the interim, Rob Brzezinski has done well to navigate a tough salary cap situation, as well as retain key players. That being said, Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine does use one word to describe the Vikings' free agency cycle: Bargain.

Ballentine explains the term, saying, "Losing Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Allen could hurt the interior, but landing Kyler Murray for the league minimum is the deal of the offseason. It's a one-year fix, but it's one that makes the Vikings scary for the rest of the NFC. " The situation surrounding J.

J. McCarthy has become very rocky as the team has now signed Kyler Murray to compete with him, as he mentions. The former number one overall pick has shown much more promise in his time in the NFL than McCarthy has, so much so that he even earned a second contract with his former team, the Arizona Cardinals.

Because there is that glimpse of promise, getting a starting quarterback on that type of value is absolutely a bargain. This article originally appeared on Vikings Wire: NFL Offseason: One word to describe the Vikings free agency
