The Bruins suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on Monday, in a game in which Pastrnak scored twice. It was a stellar game from Pastrnak, and Sturm said he was the best player on the ice and a key reason why Boston got a point. “This guy, he gave us everything he had,” Sturm said on Monday as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage.
“Not just because he scored two goals, he was the driver. He was good on the bench; he was always pushing guys. For me, he was by far the best player on the ice today.
” Pastrnak tied the game in the third period, as he dangled his way to a highlight-reel goal. Bruins forward Pavel Zacha was also impressed with Pastrnak’s game and play on Monday. “It is a lot of fun watching him,” Zacha said.
