Boston led 2-0 after the first period before New Jersey scored three-straight goals, yet David Pastrnak tied it in the third period, which was his second goal of the game. Although the Bruins did get a point by forcing overtime, with just seven seconds left in overtime, Paul Cotter scored the winner, which was frustrating for Bruins head coach Marco Sturm. “Frustrating because we played such a good first period,” Sturm said on Monday as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage.
“The way we came out in the second and the way we played in the second, that for me is night and day. If you play like that, that’s what you get,” Sturm said. “That second period really bothered me.
