The six teams placed between second and seventh qualify for the play-offs, with the second and third-placed sides progressing straight through to the semi-finals. The clubs that finish the season between fourth and seventh compete in quarter-finals, and the winners of those matches face the second or third-placed team in a one-legged semi-final tie for the right to play in the play-off final at Wembley.
