Captain Shubman Gill has linked up with the Gujarat Titans squad as preparations gather pace for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Gujarat Titans will begin their campaign with an away fixture against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on March 31. The Gill-led side will then return home to Ahmedabad to take on Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium on April 4.
The teamโs early schedule also includes away games against Delhi Capitals on April 8 and Lucknow Super Giants on April 12. Gujarat Titans have established themselves as one of the most consistent sides in the league, reaching the playoffs in three of their first four seasons and lifting the title in their debut year in 2022. They will once again bank on Gillโs leadership as they aim for a second trophy.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the first phase of IPL 2026, set to run from March 28 to April 12 across 10 venues. The season will open with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosting Sunrisers Hyderabad in Bengaluru. In 2025, Gujarat Titans enjoyed a strong campaign, registering nine wins, four losses, and one no-result, and will look to build on that momentum this season.
