Get Ready for March Madness Madness: Score Big in the Biggest NBA Celebration!
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD. WYZZ) — Normal Community won the Big 12 Conference girls indoor track meet at Shirk Center on Monday.
The Iron got first place performances from Berit Rice (shot put), Addison Taylor (triple jump) and the 4×400 relay team. Sophomore Taylor Washington also had a big meet with a third place finish in the 60 meters and runner-up efforts in the 200 meters and the 4×200. Bloomington finished second.
Kylie Huffaker won the 60 hurdles and the Raiders won the 4×800 relay, anchored by freshman Lorelei Hulsing. Normal West’s Renee Warren had a distance sweep, winning both the 1600 and 3200. At Washington, the state champion Panthers girls basketball team was honored at the city council meeting.
