An FC Cincinnati star player crashed a Lamborghini on Interstate 71 early Monday morning. Kévin Denkey , a star forward for Cincinnati, was involved in a single-vehicle accident with no injuries on Interstate 71 around 1:30 a. m.
March 16, according to a club spokesperson. The crash was first reported by Laurel Pfahler of Queen City Press, an independent online sports publication. Video of the crash from the Ohio Department of Transportation shows what appears to be Denkey's orange Lamborghini crash on I-71 near Kennedy Avenue.
In the video, the car swerved from the far right lane into the wall dividing the highway. The sports car bounced off and rolled forward in the shoulder. Two passersby are seen in the video pulling over to help Denkey after the crash.
Denkey and the passenger in his car stepped out while they waited for police to arrive. Denkey was evaluated and fully cleared by FC Cincinnati medical staff later in the day, the club spokesperson said. Additional information on the crash was not immediately available.
The Enquirer has reached out to Cincinnati police for a copy of the crash report.
