We also saw a couple loanees come back from injury, some still missing time, and a couple new injuries coming up.

See how each loanee performed this week and where the teams in Europe stand going into the second leg this week. FC Bayern Munich There are 11 players from on loan from the first team. Germany – Bundesliga There are three players from the first team on loan to the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Arijon Ibrahimović, and Armando Sieb.

Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart Nübel started for Stuttgart at home against FC Porto in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16. He allowed two early goals — including one goal that was deemed to be his error that led to it — in the first half to put his team down 2-0, but kept the guests off the board for the rest of the match. He had four saves on the day.

Stuttgart cut the lead to one by halftime and thought they had an equalizer in the 70th, but it was taken back by VAR. They fell 2-1 with a trip to Portugal coming up next week. In Bundesliga play, Stuttgart hosted RB Leipzig on Sunday.
