One of those, in the 2016-17 Round of 16, involved PSG, who beat Barca, 4-0 in Paris, then hilariously proceeded to lose 6-1 in Barcelona in the second leg.
That second leg became known simply as La Remontada (“The Comeback”). It may be the comeback of all comebacks. ( You know like, Seabiscuit, The Mighty Ducks, Robert Downey Jr, Kim Kardashian… ) Of course, we’ve had more than our fair share of famous comebacks at the Bridge, too, one of them even involving PSG (#DareToDemba).
So you can never say never. That said, this tie is pretty much done and dusted, right? Not just because of the scoreline, but because of the manner of how that three-goal deficit came about.
We didn’t just lose 5-2. We lost more than just the game in those final 15 minutes. We saw its aftereffects over the weekend already, with most of the same players producing one of the most listless 90-minute performances in recent memory.
