One of the top remaining transfer portal quarterbacks, Nicco Marchiol, has found a landing spot with his commitment to Northwestern.

Despite the Northwestern Wildcats soon set to begin spring practices, they aren't done adding talent to their quarterback room. Former West Virginia Mountaineers passer Nicco Marchiol has officially committed to Northwestern, per On3's Pete Nakos. Marchiol spent the last four seasons at West Virginia, starting several games during his tenure.

In all, he completed 137 of 220 passes, good for 62. 3%, for 1,462 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also carried the ball 124 times for 341 yards and four scores.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder never commanded the full-time starting role with the Mountaineers, instead operating as a backup and spot-starter due to injuries. Now, he's taking his talents to Northwestern, where he'll presumably be the backup to former Michigan State starting quarterback Aidan Chiles.
