MANHATTAN ( KSNT ) – There’s a new head coach in Manhattan. Kansas State officially introduced Casey Alexander as its new head coach on Monday morning. Alexander becomes the 27th coach in program history, who comes to Manhattan after spending the last seven seasons as the head coach for Belmont.
This season, Alexander guided the Bruins to the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. He tallied 166 wins and four conference titles in the last seven seasons. As Alexander spoke for the first time as the head coach, he answered the question of ‘Why K-State.
’ “I’m looking at it (Alexander gazes into the crowd). Awesome. This crowd, people that are passionate about their team and school above all else, is why I wanted to be here,” Alexander explained.
