Texas A&M's spring football season will officially begin on Friday, as coach Mike Elko and his revamped coaching staff will welcome 17 players from the transfer portal, and 26 freshmen from the 2026 signing class, looking to integrate a talented but relatively new roster after losing 20-plus players to the portal and the 2026 NFL Draft. Out of the returning players, starting quarterback Marcel Reed returns for his third season at the helm, and second full year as the starter, while star wide receiver Mario Craver re-signed with the Aggies this offseason, and will lead a talented group that now includes former Alabama standout, Isaiah Horton.
