Texas A&M will reportedly welcome back several injured players for spring practices, including former 5-star WR Jerome Myles.

Texas A&M's spring football season will officially begin on Friday, as coach Mike Elko and his revamped coaching staff will welcome 17 players from the transfer portal, and 26 freshmen from the 2026 signing class, looking to integrate a talented but relatively new roster after losing 20-plus players to the portal and the 2026 NFL Draft. Out of the returning players, starting quarterback Marcel Reed returns for his third season at the helm, and second full year as the starter, while star wide receiver Mario Craver re-signed with the Aggies this offseason, and will lead a talented group that now includes former Alabama standout, Isaiah Horton. On the injury front, the 2026 roster is all but healthy entering the spring practice window, including one highly talented playmaker On Monday, AggieYell insider Jaxson Callaway reported that redshirt freshman wide receiver Jerome Myles, a former five-star commit, is set to return this spring, and was considered one of the best wide receiver prospects in the 2025 recruiting class, but has dealt with injury issues going back to his final high school season, which continued last fall, resulting in missing the entire 2025 season due to a reported "lower body injury.

" Other names to watch include senior defensive back Bryce Anderson, who, after sustaining a serious head injury during last season's road win over Notre Dame, is slated to contend for the starting nickel position, while offensive lineman Isendre "Papa" Ahfua, who also suffered a lower-body injury, is set to return.
