Cardinals' Andy Billings Returns to Play a Big Role in Defenses!
Another Bears defensive player has found a new home.
Another Chicago Bears defender has found a new home. Defensive tackle Andrew Billings is joining the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year deal via Cardinals reporter Darren Urban. Billings is the latest Bears defensive player to exit the team via free agency, signaling a revamp of Dennis Allen's defense in 2026.
Billings joined the Bears as a free agent in 2023 and quickly stood out for his ability to stop the run. The Bears had the best run defense in the NFL in 2023, allowing just 86. 4 yards per game, and Billings was a big reason why.
He signed a two-year extension and was relied upon as a key run defender in 2024 before he suffered a torn pectoral muscle and was lost for the season. In 2025, Billings played in every game and totaled 31 tackles (six for loss) and one sack. He joins other former Bears defensive players such as Kevin Byard, Nahshon Wright, Jaquan Brisker, Jonathan Owens, C.
J. Gardner-Johnson, and Chris Williams to sign elsewhere as unrestricted free agents. This article originally appeared on Bears Wire: Cardinals sign former Bears DT Andrew Billings
