At its most recent board meeting, the Forest Hills School District decided to open its head varsity football coaching position. Justin Myers, a 1995 graduate who led the Rangers to the 1994 PIAA Class 2A championship game at quarterback, compiled a 35-40 record over the past seven seasons. In 2025, Forest Hills started 4-0, but endured a four-game losing streak to end the season at 6-5.

He led the Rangers as the eighth seed in the 2021 District 6 Class 2A playoffs to road victories at No. 1 seed Cambria Heights and No. 4 Bald Eagle Area before losing to Richland in the district title game.

"The decision to open the position reflects the districtโ€™s commitment to thoughtfully reviewing leadership roles within its extracurricular programs and ensuring that Forest Hills continues to provide the strongest possible experiences for student-athletes," Forest Hills' statement read. "Forest Hills takes great pride in the rich tradition, dedication, and community support that surround its football program. "As the district moves forward with this process, its focus remains on identifying a leader who will continue to support the growth and development of student-athletes both on and off the field, foster positive relationships with families and community stakeholders and uphold the values of Ranger Pride.

"The district is grateful for the individuals who have contributed to the football program and helped shape the experiences of its student-athletes over the years. Forest Hills remains committed to honoring the tradition of its program while also looking ahead to its future. " Forest Hills will post the position and begin accepting applications from qualified candidates.

Myers is a teacher at Forest Hills and is an assistant boys basketball coach. Including his four years leading Cambria Heights' football program from 2007-10, Myers has a 37-78 overall record. Myers compiled a 3-4 playoff record when leading Forest Hills.
