The New England Patriots announced on Monday that they have signed veteran long snapper Niko Lalos. They also confirmed the previously reported signing of former Miami Dolphins linebacker K. J.
Britt . Lalos started his NFL career by joining the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2020. From that opportunity, he went on to spend time with the New Orleans Saints and now-defunct XFL team, the Seattle Sea Dragons.
He played on the defensive line during his run with Seattle, racking up 34 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 1. 5 sacks in 10 games. However, unlike the Sea Dragons, the Patriots are likely more interested in Lalos' special teams abilities.
