New Headline: Titans' Line Showcases Strength Over Razorbacks' Taylen Green in Pro Bowl
Taylen Green says the NFL wants him to switch positions.
The history of black quarterbacks in the NFL is long and sordid. Everyone has heard the stories of quarterbacks like Warren Moon, who had to play in the Canadian Football League before the NFL took a look at him. And although black quarterbacks have found success in recent years, there are still some in this league who are leery about drafting a black quarterback, even someone as talented as Taylen Green.
On a recent podcast, Green said that despite his success, some teams want him to switch positions. โIโm not trying to make this a race thingโฆbut I feel like they see my color and think Iโm just a runner. โ He also added, โThey think Iโm going to run, or canโt throw or process things.
โ Green is far from just a runner; he was a great passer, too. He threw for over 2700 yards and 19 touchdowns. When he got hurt during the 2026 season, the Razorbacks missed him badly because he was their offense.
Hopefully, a good NFL team will take Green and develop him into a great NFL quarterback rather than trying to make him a wide receiver. This article originally appeared on Touchdown Wire: Arkansas QB Taylen Green accuses some NFL teams of racism
