The Boston Celtics have been thrilled to recently get Jayson Tatum back from a torn Achilles tendon, but right as he came back, Nikola Vucevic was forced to the sidelines after suffering a fractured ring finger.

Vucevic was picked up in a midseason trade with the Chicago Bulls, but as it turns out, the player the Celtics gave up to acquire Vucevic, Anfernee Simons , has also been dealing with his own injury woes. Simons, who played in 49 games for Boston, has only managed to suit up in six games for Chicago thanks to a lingering left wrist injury. It's been nearly a month since Simons last played, and according to a new update on his injury status, he's going to miss at least 10 more days before potentially returning to action.

"Bulls guards Anfernee Simons and Jaden Ivey have been progressing from their left wrist and left knee injuries, respectively," Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reported in a post on X. "Simons will be re-evaluated again in 10 days, and Ivey will be re-evaluated again in one week. " While this injury has only flared up during his time with the Bulls, reports have emerged indicating that Simons was battling this ailment during his time with the Celtics as well.

Clearly, though, it's become a bigger issue for him since winding up with Chicago, and it's resulted in him missing a significant amount of time. As for Vucevic, he underwent surgery on his injury on Mar. 7, and he is set to be re-evaluated towards the end of the month.
