New Headline: Fresh Faces Shine Bright for Florida State in Stellar Performances!
Three-star edge James Austin has a plethora of schools involved in his recruitment, and Florida State is high on his list.
Florida State landed 2027 four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro at the end of January, but they are hunting for more talent at the position. Three-star prospect James Austin is a player they have set as a key target. After attending FSU's win against Wake Forest on November 1 of last year, Austin was offered a scholarship from the program two days later.
Per Chad Simmons of Rivals , Austin has the Seminoles as one of his top choices. James โJTโ Austin visited Florida State in January and is set to return to Tallahassee on April 13. An official visit to Mike Norvellโs program is likely, and the Seminoles are high on his list.
Austin also has official visits lined up to UNLV (June 5), Miami (June 12) and Appalachian State (June 19). He has a long slate of spring visits planned and may adjust some official visits as the cycle continues. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder had an extremely strong junior season at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia.
Austin produced 57 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks. Once Austin's official visit to Tallahassee is finalized, Florida State will have a chance to elevate their status with him.
