Broncos Honor Niko Lalos' Scoring Skills with Exciting Rookie Pick!
A former defensive end, Niko Lalos went undrafted in 2020.

The organization announced the signing of free agent Niko Lalos on Monday, as previously reported by Patriots on SIโs Ethan Hurwitz .
Lalos, 28, was among a group of specialists in Foxborough for workouts and now joins 2025 seventh-round draft choice Julian Ashby on the offseason depth chart. A convert from defensive end, the former first-team All-Ivy League selection out of Dartmouth entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Appearing in six games during his rookie year with the New York Giants, Lalos saw 72 snaps on defense and 72 snaps on special teams.
Six tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception were registered through a series of elevations as well as a stint on the 53-man roster. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Big Green alum proceeded to spend all of 2021 on the NFC East practice squad and was waived out of his futures contract at the leagueโs cutdown deadline the following training camp. Lalos later spent parts of 2022, 2023 and 2024 with the New Orleans Saints.
In between transactions, he was selected by the now-inactive Seattle Sea Dragons in the XFL draft and totaled 35 tackles, 1. 5 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception during his lone spring season. After making the switch to long snapper, the Philadelphia Eagles invited Lalos to rookie minicamp on a tryout basis in 2025.
